SUNDAY, FEBRUARY 8, 2004: 16 teams from five Northeast states competed in the first annual NEW YORK CHRONIC OPEN. Teams played 6 prelim games, with the top four teams in the prelims moving on to a round robin playoffs. The JT Prohunters and Arena home team Evil Empire led in the prelims, having to contend with The MIGHTY Misfit Toys who made thr trip from the Philly area, and aggressive team Drastic. Strong Island played strong all morning and finished the prelims tied for 4th spot with Drastic. Since Drastic had won against Strong Island earlier in the prelims, Drastic got to move on. Also playing well in the prelims but just missing the cut were both 7 Below teams. The finals were hard fought and played with Honor, seeing the Prohunters take the day, winnig 5 DYE Matrixes!
